I asked Nate to write our “How we met” for our wedding website, because frankly, he’s a much better writer than I am. I read it again this morning, and almost started crying. He never ceases to impress me!

Candice and Nathaniel happened to cross paths in a digital sea of millions of people thanks to an internet dating site. As explained to comedian Aziz Ansari, the two had met because Nathaniel had run a search for women within a 10 mile radius of Anaheim who had the words “whisky” and “beer” in their profiles.

They understand if you don’t think that it’s the best story—but believe them: it is, in fact, the best story.

After meeting each other, they ended up bonding over so much more than just whisky and beer. During their several trips to Disneyland, their nights out to their favorite bar: Memphis at the Santora, and karaoke nights at Out Of The Park Pizza, things just fell into place for these two, and that has been the wonderful story ever since.
